How much will it cost to fix my appliance? Everyone asks it because it is important. You can't make an informed choice without knowing the cost. Many appliances have been replaced unnecessarily when a simple repair could have saved them. So what's the answer?...
What if you could know the cost of a repair before the work was done? You can! Our up-front pricing system allows you to get an accurate estimate before the repair is performed so you know the facts, figures, and options first and can make an informed choice.
Customer at fast-food restaurant to staff person: “Hey, why did my hamburger cost $1.20 more than the exact same one the guy in front of me just got?”
Staff person: “Well, the cook that made it is new and it took her longer to make it, and so because we charge by the hour, it just cost more.”
Does this sound crazy? Well, if repairs are charged for by time, every repair will be priced differently, like the hamburgers.
As with many other products and services, we use a price list, much like a restaurant menu, to determine prices for services performed. This provides:
Consistent pricing
– The same price for the same job
Guaranteed estimates
– No crystal ball needed
Clearer choice of options
– Just like a menu
Consistent pricing
You don't have to worry about being charged extra when the repair takes longer than expected because of, say, a rusted bolt. You won't be charged extra if the technician, who is only human, is having an off day and is a little slower than usual.
Guaranteed estimates
Because we can't predict the future, we don't know exactly how long your particular repair will take. But we do know what the average cost of that repair is, based on past experience and published price guides. By quoting a price based on that average, we can eliminate the uncertainties that lead to inaccurate estimates, and you don't have to wonder if the estimate is going to escalate as the work progresses.
Clearer choice of options
When you have an accurate estimate up-front, it makes it easier to decide if the repair is viable, and when there are multiple options, each option can be individually and accurately priced so you can choose wisely.
Here's how it works
We will check your appliance to determine the causes of whatever issues are of concern. In most cases, we will then be able to quote a guaranteed estimate for the cost of repairs. There may be multiple options for the repairs, and these will be presented for your consideration. If you decide not to proceed with the repair, or if the issue cannot be resolved due to its intermittent nature for example, you just pay a preset Diagnostic Charge towards the cost of coming out to look at your machine. Introductory price for our Diagnostic Charge is $69.95. For additional appliances, $29.95 each.
